Tully sits pretty at 195km north of Townsville and 158km south of Cairns — right in the sweet spot between two major North Queensland hubs.

Fun fact: this town holds the record for Australia's highest rainfall, a whopping 7.9 metres back in 1950. So, bring an umbrella, but bring your thirst too.
